Search & Discovery Enhancements

Introduction

We have introduced powerful new features to bridge the gap between candidates and recruiters. These enhancements focus on making profiles more discoverable through structured summaries and explicit skill tagging, while giving recruiters precise filtering tools.

For Candidates: Enhanced Discoverability

1. Default Profile Summary

Candidates can now add a Profile Summary to their public profile. This summary is indexed for search, allowing you to highlight your unique value proposition, soft skills, or specific achievements that code metrics might miss.

How to add: 1. Go to your Dashboard. 2. Click the red "Add Profile Summary" button in the header (Developer view). 3. Use the AI-Guided writing framework to craft a compelling bio (300-1000 characters). 4. Save to instantly update your discoverable profile.

2. Default Skills & Tags

You can now explicitly tag your profile with your core technical skills (e.g., React, Node.js, DevOps, System Design).

Why this matters:

• Precision: Ensure you appear in searches for specific tech stacks, even if they aren't the majority of your GitHub code.
• Autocomplete: Use our smart suggestions to find industry-standard tags.
• Management: Easily add or remove tags via the "Add Skills" button in the dashboard header.

For Recruiters: Advanced Filtering System

Recruiters now have a more robust Find Candidates interface to zero in on the right talent.

1. New Filter System

We have replaced the basic "Trust Score" slider with a multi-dimensional filter panel:

• Connected Platforms: Filter candidates by the data sources they have connected (e.g., "Show only candidates with LeetCode scores").
• Profile Tags / Skills: Type to filter candidates by specific skills (e.g., "Python, Machine Learning"). This field features debounced search for smooth performance.
• Clear All: A unified "Clear All Filters" button instantly resets the view to the full talent pool.

2. Search UX Improvements

• Auto-Reset: Clearing the main search bar automatically refreshes the full candidate list—no need to hit Enter.
• Smart Inputs: The skills filter anticipates your typing and delays the search slightly (500ms) to prevent lagging while you type.
• Quick Clear: Use the "X" buttons in search fields to instantly wipe terms and restart your discovery.
